Your privacy, in plain language
Your Job Passport is your career story — and it belongs to you. This page explains what information Cazini holds, how we keep it safe, how it is used, and the rights you have over it. No legal jargon, no fine print games.

Regulated in Kenya. Cazini handles personal data in compliance with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019, under the oversight of the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC). The rights described on this page are yours by law, not just by our promise.
What we hold about you
- Your account — your name, email address, and password (we never store the password itself, only a scrambled version that cannot be read back).
- Your Job Passport — the education, work history, credentials, industries, photo, video and bio that you choose to add.
- Your job applications — the details and documents you submit when you apply for a job.
- Basic technical records — the minimum needed to keep you signed in and the service running securely.
We only collect what the service actually needs. We don't buy data about you, track you across other websites, or collect anything behind your back.
How your data is kept safe
- Everything you send us travels over encrypted connections and is stored on secure, professionally managed cloud infrastructure.
- Access is strictly controlled — only the systems and vetted staff who need your data to serve you can reach it, and administrative actions are logged.
- Passwords are irreversibly scrambled; nobody at Cazini can see them.
- Share links you create expire automatically on the schedule you choose.
How your data is used
- To be your passport — presenting your profile and credentials the way you built them.
- To match you with work — connecting your skills and experience with employers and job openings that fit them.
- To verify what you've earned — reviewing the entries you ask us to verify, so employers can trust your record.
- To keep you informed — service emails such as verification links and profile reminders. Reminders always include a one-click unsubscribe.
We never sell your personal data. Employers see your profile only when you apply to their job or share your passport with them — sharing is always your action, never ours.
You stay in control
Under the Data Protection Act you have the right to:
- See the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or outdated
- Delete your account and your data
- Object to, or restrict, how your data is used
- Withdraw consent you gave earlier
- Complain to the ODPC if you believe your rights have been infringed
Most of this you can do yourself: edit or delete any entry from your passport at any time, and unsubscribe from reminders with one click. For anything else — including full account deletion — email us and we'll act on it promptly.
How long we keep it
For as long as you keep your account — your passport is meant to travel with you through your career. If you delete your account, your profile, credentials and documents are deleted with it.
