JOB TITLE HOUSEKEEPER NATURE OF JOB FULL TIME INDUSTRY HOSPITALITY SALARY KSHS.15,500 JOB LOCATION KAJIADO (ACCOMMODATION IS PROVIDED) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleaning and Housekeeping · Maintain high standards of cleanliness and order throughout the house, including bedrooms, bathrooms, living rooms and common areas. · Make beds, change bed linen, replace towels and ensure guest rooms are clean, comfortable and properly arranged. · Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum and sanitize surfaces, furniture, floors and other household areas as required. · Monitor the cleanliness of all areas throughout the day and carry out additional cleaning whenever necessary. Guest Service and Hospitality · Welcome guests warmly and attend to them in a friendly, professional and respectful manner. · Respond promptly to guest requests and ensure their comfort throughout their stay. · Prepare guest rooms and common areas to ensure they are ready for arrivals and remain presentable during occupancy. · Maintain appropriate privacy, confidentiality and discretion when interacting with guests and handling personal belongings. Laundry and Household Organization · Wash, dry, iron, fold and organize bed linen, towels, clothing and other household fabrics as required. · Ensure clean linen and towels are properly stored and readily available for use. · Organize household items, toiletries and cleaning supplies to maintain a tidy and functional environment. · Monitor the condition of linen, towels, furniture and household items, reporting damaged or missing items to the supervisor. Supplies, Safety and General Housekeeping Support · Monitor stock levels of cleaning products, toiletries and other housekeeping supplies and report items requiring replenishment. · Use cleaning materials and equipment correctly, following appropriate hygiene and safety procedures. · Keep cleaning equipment and storage areas clean, organized and secure after use. · Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, damages or unusual incidents promptly to the supervisor or property manager. KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION · At least two years of proven experience as a Housekeeper is essential. · Previous experience in a private residence, hotel, lodge, guest house or similar hospitality environment is preferred. · Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques, laundry procedures, linen care and household organization. · Understanding of hygiene standards and the safe handling of cleaning products. · Good communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to follow instructions, work independently and prioritize daily tasks. · A certificate in housekeeping or hospitality is an added advantage.
