Junior Sales Manager

Tayza Consultant is seeking a results-driven Junior Sales Manager to lead a small sales team, support pipeline growth, and help execute revenue-transformation strategies for our clients. This role is ideal for a sales professional ready to step into their first leadership position, with strong mentorship and structured coaching provided.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of 3–8 sales representatives, tracking daily activity and performance against targets
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and early-stage training of new sales hires
• Monitor pipeline health and conversion rates; flag bottlenecks to senior management
• Conduct regular one-on-ones and team huddles to reinforce prospecting, presentation, closing, and objection-handling discipline
• Assist in rolling out sales scripts, playbooks, and CRM/reporting processes
• Compile weekly performance reports for senior leadership
• Step in on high-value client calls or negotiations when needed
• Uphold company standards on ethics, compliance, and client service

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of direct sales experience, with at least 6 months in a team-lead or supervisory capacity (formal or informal)
• Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets
• Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with basic sales reporting/CRM tools (training provided)
• Diploma or degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred (not mandatory with strong track record)
• Based in or willing to work in Nairobi
